No Win No Fee

No Win No Fee Solicitors

Personal injury claims are the only types of claims currently available on a fully no win no fee basis, where there is a 100% contractual guarantee possible for a claimant to receive every penny of any damages awarded at trial or by way of settlement before trial.

The way this works is that we will pay out all expenses for you for your claim on the basis that we rely on our experience and judgment of the merits of your claim. We then seek to recover our costs and the amounts we have paid out for you for medical reports and such like (called disbursements) from the defendants. This provides you with considerable confidence that you will obtain a result, since otherwise, we would not be in business very long !

No win no fee arrangements are a co-operative way of accessing justice. All that is required of you is to co-operate with us and to be reasonable in agreeing with us whether an offer of settlement is at a reasonable level. We will only advise you to accept an offer if we genuinely believe that it is at the right level, bearing in mind all the factors. This is our professional duty to you as solicitors and is contained in the Solicitor’s Conduct Rules.

Conditional fee agreements

This is the technical term used for no win no fee agreements. The agreement we may offer you will be in fairly standard form and complies with Law Society requirements. There is no small print or hidden traps for you. Once we agree to take on a case for you, we are committed on the basis that we take all the risk, and that includes the cost of arranging insurance for you against losing the case at trial and being ordered to pay the defendant’s legal costs.
